After celebrating urban sports together at Brussels Urban Sessions, the city is getting ready to welcome another major sporting event: the European Open.
From 17 to 25 October 2026, Brussels Expo becomes the home of world-class tennis as the BNP Paribas Fortis European Open returns to the capital for its eleventh edition.
And the line-up promises plenty of fireworks.
Defending champion and world No. 5 Félix Auger-Aliassime returns to Brussels, joined by former world No. 2 Casper Ruud and Arthur Fils, who recently claimed the biggest title of his career by winning the ATP Masters 1000 in Cincinnati.
And then there’s Belgium’s Big Three.
Alexander Blockx. Zizou Bergs. Raphaël Collignon. Three Belgian crowd favourites, three different styles, one ambition: to make their mark in Brussels and challenge the very best on the international stage.
And on Tuesday 20 October, Belgian tennis takes centre stage during Belgian Day. Expect home support, extra atmosphere and plenty of Belgian pride in the stands.
But this edition will be about more than winners and trophies.
It will also mark the end of an era.
After 17 years at the highest level, David Goffin will play the final tournament of his professional career in front of his home crowd. Six ATP titles. A career-high ranking of world No. 7. Countless unforgettable moments. Brussels gets one last chance to celebrate one of the greatest players in Belgian tennis history.
Nine days of tension. Powerful serves, packed stands and top-level tennis. Right in the heart of Brussels.
